LA is turning into winter mode overnight. I didn't stop taking photos outdoors since I got my first Leica camera and this time I joined the Leica photowalk to test its new SL2 mirrorless digital camera last week. I will share some of my street photography soon. It was a beautiful afternoon in November - not necessary cold but windy and a little chilly. A belted coat is never out of style. Lightweight wool blend kept it sleek and provided enough warmth. Put a belt on it - the layering style works for spring/fall blazers and the winter coats/jackets too. The thick-fabric belt nicely defined the waist. This coat is from M.M.LaFleur. I like the length, fabric and color. As a photographer, when I work, I try to wear solid colors such as black, brown and gray and the outfit should have sleek silhouette for a classy and professional look. This updated tuxedo coat style is beautiful. I layered the coat over a sweater dress. I paired them with block-heeled lace-up boots. I am not very tall, 5'6". To look good in a medium length coat, heels are the way to go. The block heels are comfortable. The Louis Vuitton multi pouchette bag is becoming trendy on Instagram. The fit and the size of the bags are great for a work day like this. I shortened the bag strap and made it super tight crossing the body. Three pouchettes easily held my phone, wallet and small camera accessories. Love it. Instagrammers try to avoid dark photos on the feed but shadow is a part of lighting. I found beauty in these darker images taken with Leica M10 and SL2. A good balance of highlight and shadow brought texture of the clothes and accessories to life. Hope you all enjoy this post and have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Xo
