It's that time of year again. I always enjoy crafting perfect outfits for Valentine's Day. I never got tired of hunting these blush, rose, pink and red outfits with adorable prints and patterns. This year, I decided to up the twist of these classic Valentine's items and explore a little bit more. They will be super fun and sweet.
*Special thanks to Bloom Balloons LA (@bloomballoons.la). for this cute Valentine's Day balloon.
Call me a dreamer! The mauve dress with full lace detail is my top pick for this lovely season. This dress is flowy, loose fit and high-waisted. The color called mauve is between blush pink and light purple. It's super easy to wear with its slightly stretchy fabrics. This dress in medium length is not too sexy but still shows a little bit of skin to delight the vibes of your night. It is definitely elegant and very adorable for this theme. You can find similar styles at Nordstrom, ASOS and Revolve.
This sweater dress feels undeniably sexy. The bodycon mini skirt will surely catch his eyes. I love this V-neck that beautifully defines the contour of the neckline where you would love to wear earrings or necklace. Valentine's Day isn't all about red and hot pink. Wearing something else can avoid a "Me Too" feeling in a crowded theater or a restaurant. Over-knee boots are perfect to pair this mini dress for cold nights. Find this dress at Sky Love Boutique.
Red dress is a classic look for Valentine's Day. I am so obsessed with the satin material. The vintage style looks great for a candle-lit dinner. Red lipsticks, bag handbag, red nails and a few pieces of jewlery will look beautiful together. Find it at Fashion Nova or Revolve.
It's another cute wrap dress. If you are in LA, sweater dresses or long sleeves will be too warm for day-time activities. I would love to wear this cute polka dot dress in sand. The ruffle details and shoulder blades are so flattering. This is a great mix of Parisian romance and tropical vibes. It's perfect for a Valentine's Day getaway. Enjoy the sun and beach! Find the style at J.ING, shopbop or Nasty Gal.
Are we tired of pink? Never. If you are dating in colder places, an oversized plush pullover will be fun. It makes the lovers' cozy dream come true. This pullover makes me want to hug:) Low boots or over-knee boots will work for this outfit too. I paired it with a pink crossbody to lift some contrast. If you like this style, shop similar items at Free People or Fashion Nova.
Layering romantic mauve items, I love the elegant details and mixed texture of suede, lace and velvet. The flowy jacket keeps me warm and makes the whole look effortless. These boots are from Cecelia New York that I have been wearing the whole season - you know how much I love them. So obsessed with the flowers on the side.
Some tips for styling your Valentine's Day outfits:
a. Be open-minded for colors. Pink, red and blush are classic but no everybody likes these colors. You will still look gorgeous in your elegant Little Black Dresses.
b. Choose items that are chic yet comfortable enough for your to enjoy the actives.
c. Details, details, details. Yes, I prefer to wear a statement piece. But if you choose to go basic, some fun jewelry, a nice handbag, a pair of cute shoes will make you stand out.
d. Prepare different outfits for different agenda. In LA, a romantic Valentine's Day can be a fine dinner in a luxury ocean-front restaurant or a nighttime hiking where the two of you count stars on Hollywood Hills. So you need a dress, a pair of walkable shoes and a jacket for the chilly February night.
e. Wear matching makeup, hair, mani and mostly importantly lingerie. Make it a romantic package for him.
Hope you ladies enjoy my blog. Have fun on your Valentine's Day! Xoxo.
