As we approach the summer days ahead of us, it's that time of year to showcase one of my favorite outfits. My bright floral dress in the desert! The first time I put on this dress, I immediately felt a connection with where I was – beautiful Death Valley. The long, endless sightlines of the desert and the immediate heat sensation made me feel alive and free. 

The weather is warming up in California and the sleeves are coming off. I went for a chic cut-off vest to add texture to my outfit and a thin black pencil skirt, while Luna keeps it casual in a baggy Balenciaga tee. She loves her Balenciaga sneakers, so we wore matching pairs for this stroll through Pasadena.

​I love to mix and match styles right now, so the Marcella skirt and the chunky sneakers give that perfect mix of stylish and sporty. We have a lot of big plans this summer. It's good to have sneakers on hand - you don't want to walk around all day in uncomfortable shoes.

As Earth Day is around the corner, I am excited to style my new spring pieces from sustainable brands. One of my current favorite brands is WVN, a conscious fashion brand that is committed to creating good-looking clothes without environmental impact. Here I shared one of my favorite looks from their spring releases, the Amber Jumpsuit. The fabric is 100% organic cotton, which is gentle to the skin while caring for the Earth. I love the beautiful color and gingham print that match my mood for this season - bright, lively and cheerful. This outfit is great for spring vacation and everyday wearing. Mother’s Day is a special occasion when we show how much we appreciate our moms. They are the most special persons in our lives. Honestly, I haven’t been celebrating Mother’s Day for a few years since my mom passed away a few years ago. But this year with my baby Luna in my arms, I am celebrating my first Mother’s Day as a new mom. I wanted to pick a few things for myself and make it special.

It's no easy job to stay fashionable during pregnancy. Dressing the bump can be very challenging. Some maternity clothes are friendly to the bump but not so Instagrammable. I don't want to limit my options so I tried a few maternity fashion brands and non-maternity brands that offer styles with flexible waist design. Most of these pieces will still work for my regular body shape  after pregnancy. They are not exclusively for materntiy looks so I can easily save some extra $$$ on that, why not?
